Manchester, UK based IT company, XeBusiness has set up an agency arrangement with Vietnam based company Gartex Solutions Group to re-sell its specialist applications software (Xe-ERP) for apparel and household textile manufacturers and distributors operating locally.
Textile manufacture and export is strategic to the Vietnamese economy and although local labour costs are amongst the lowest in S/E Asia, competition with other low cost countries in the region, most notably China, and the need to add value, streamline and speed-up fulfilment and shipping processes to ensure quality and delivery date targets are met, require that 'state-of-the-art' IT systems are brought to bear.
David Cullis, Chief Executive of XeBusiness, said:
"I visited Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) in March to set up the Gartex Solutions agency arrangement. Textile manufacture and export is expanding at a tremendous rate in the country with a number of major US and EU brands sourcing apparel products from local manufacturers. A stable political system and the very high literacy rate in Vietnam make this country ideal to attract investment".
